My first and most obvious goal this semester is to obtain good grades in all of my classes. It is a necessity that I maintain at least a B average so I can keep my scholarship. Without this scholarship i probably wouldn't be in this class or even going to the College of Charleston for that matter considering that my parents don't have the money to pay for my tuition.
Another goal of mine is to get a better understanding of the whole college life in my first semester. I want to make a smooth transition from going to a small high school to a rather large college. In order to do this I must not get overwhelmed by all the large amount of females attending CofC and not to get carried away with the night life in downtown. Especially considering that I am not old enough to participate in most of the activities that many students partake in.
My last goal for this semester is for me to find out if I should continue taking computer classes. Hopefully, after this class I will have enough experience in computer's to know whether or not I have what it takes to major in computer science.
